Over the past few years, particularly post Covid-19 Pandemic (2022-present) the Floral Industry has seen a surge of Scammers, CON-WOMEN/MEN, Con Artists,Grifters and Charlatans in the floral industry, scurrying like cockroaches (when you turn on the lights) offering Floral Design Classes/Courses, without any professional floral training, licensing, professional education, certifications,DECADES (minimum of 25 plus years of experience qualifying them as an (Autodidactic), professional credentials or professional references. Please flower family, run as fast as you can in the opposite direction from these fraudsters, liars and professional con-artists, they only want your hard earned money, because they know, that you don't know any better. These scammers are not fit to teach a dog how to bark, let alone floral classes/courses.
Additionally, there are multiple national organizations that verify a florists credentials in the U.S. and Europe. A Google search can assist in this, example: The United States' highest-ranking and most influential florist designer organizations are widely considered to be the American Institute of Floral Designers (AIFD), Society of American Florists (SAF), and the National Alliance of Floral Associations (NAFA), to name a few. I'll put it in simpler terms family, " If you needed a heart transplant, would you want a doctor to operate on you that never obtained his bachelor's, multiple advanced degrees/residency program etc?" No way is the overwhelming response. Flowers are not open heart surgery, however, your hard earned money is important and it's a shame when people are taken advantage of and ripped off by new florists that have little to zero training, credentials, certifications etc. AND ACTUALLY HAVE THE NERVE TO OFFER FLORAL CLASSES AND COURSES TO TEACH AND TRAIN OTHERS, when they are horrible, untrained floral designers themselves, that are literally creating ugly designs that are trash. Please be wary family, and not a "Fool that rushes in."
